Twenty-four Bearcats Declare Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports activities Scholar Awards

Cincinnati — Twenty-four College of Cincinnati student-athletes have earned the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports activities Scholar Award, as offered by Miscellaneous: Points in Greater Schooling,

Eighteen of the 24 Bearcats are feminine student-athletes, 4 of whom are from the basketball, soccer and observe and area groups. UC claimed 11 first-teams in complete.

The awards honor college students of colour who’ve excelled within the classroom in addition to within the athletic area. Impressed by tennis legend Arthur Ashe, Jr.’s dedication to training in addition to his love for the sport of tennis, American faculties and universities are invited to take part on this annual awards program by nominating their excellent sports activities students goes. Along with their athletic potential and educational efficiency, Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports activities Students show a dedication to neighborhood service and scholar management.
